PROFICIENT HOMES LEGAL

Return and Refund Policy

This policy explains refunds for Proficient Homes software subscriptions and clarifies which property-related payments are governed by other agreements.

Effective: September 4, 2026   Last updated: September 4, 2026

1. Software subscriptions

  • You may cancel a Proficient Homes subscription to stop future renewal charges.
  • Unless required by law, expressly promised at checkout, or necessary to correct a billing error, subscription fees already charged for the current billing period are not prorated or refunded after the period begins.
  • Access to paid features may continue through the end of the paid billing period after cancellation, unless the account is terminated for fraud, abuse, security reasons, or another material violation.

2. Duplicate or incorrect charges

If you believe a Proficient Homes subscription charge was duplicated, unauthorized, or billed in error, contact support promptly with the transaction information. We will review the record and issue any refund or correction that is warranted.

3. Rent, deposits, lease charges, and owner funds

Rent, security deposits, lease-related charges, application or administrative charges, owner reserves, reimbursements, and other property-specific funds are not governed by the software-subscription refund rules above. Refundability and return of those funds are governed by the applicable lease, property-management agreement, other written agreement, and applicable law.

4. Maintenance and vendor charges

Maintenance deposits, estimates, approved repairs, materials, trip charges, vendor invoices, and other service charges are governed by the applicable estimate, work order, authorization, vendor terms, property-management agreement, and law. Once materials are purchased, a vendor is dispatched, or work begins, some amounts may be non-refundable to the extent allowed by the controlling agreement and law.

5. Service cancellation by us

If we permanently discontinue a prepaid Proficient Homes software subscription before the end of a paid period and do not provide a substantially equivalent replacement, we may provide a reasonable credit or refund for the unused software period. This does not apply to property obligations, completed work, third-party charges, or amounts owed under separate agreements.

6. Physical goods

Proficient Homes is primarily a software and services platform. If a specific transaction includes physical goods, the return terms shown for that transaction or the supplying vendor's terms will apply.

7. How to request review

Submit refund or billing questions through the support or contact channel listed on the Proficient Property Services website and include enough information for us to identify the transaction.

These policies are business terms for Proficient Homes and may be updated as the platform, services, or applicable law change.
